Boston

Boston is a city built on history, and walking through it gives you a front-row view of America’s beginnings.

We started with a self-guided walking tour along the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile route connecting 16 historic sites like Paul Revere’s House, Old North Church, and the Granary Burying Ground, where figures like Samuel Adams and John Hancock are buried. It’s a great way to cover a lot of ground and learn about the city’s revolutionary roots.

One of the most interactive stops was the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, where you can toss tea into the harbor and explore exhibits that bring the 1773 protest to life.

We also ran through the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street—a personal bucket-list moment. Even just walking that final stretch gives you a sense of the city’s pride and energy.

Food-wise, Boston doesn’t disappoint. I highly recommend eating lobster rolls at Neptune Oyster in Little Italy (North End), where the seafood is fresh and the neighborhood is full of charm. Cobblestone streets, Italian bakeries like Modern Pastry and Mike’s Pastry, and cozy restaurants make it a great spot to explore.

For sports fans, catching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park is a classic Boston experience. Even if you’re not into baseball, the atmosphere is worth it.

And if you’re looking for a drink in a place with real history, stop by the Bell In Hand Tavern—America’s oldest continuously operating bar, established in 1795. It’s located near Faneuil Hall and makes for a great end to a day of exploring.
